Parable of the Good Samaritan

Parable of the Good Samaritan 1

Luke 10: 25-37 New Testament Bible

Parable of the Good Samaritan

Jesus was preaching, instructing, counseling. When an expert in the law interrupted him.
And he asked him this question:
“Master, what do I have to do to inherit eternal life?”
  Jesus replied:
“What is written in the law of Moses?” How do you interpret it?
  In response, the man quoted:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength and with all your mind”, and: “Love your neighbor as yourself”.

“Well answered,” said Jesus. Do that and you will live.

But he wanted to justify himself, so I ask Jesus:
  -And who is my neighbor?

Jesus replied:

—A man came down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into the hands of thieves. They took off his clothes, beat him and left, leaving him half dead. It turns out that a priest traveled the same way, who, seeing him, turned aside and continued. Then a Levite also came to that place, and when he saw it, he turned around and kept walking. But a traveling Samaritan approached the man and, when he saw him, felt sorry for him. He approached him, healed the wounds with wine and oil, and sold them. Then he put him in his cart, took him to a cabin, and looked after him. The next day, he took out two silver coins and gave them to the owner of the accommodation. “Take care of him,” he said, and if you spend more, I’ll pay you when I get back.

Which of these three do you think turned out to be the neighbor of the man who fell into the hands of thieves?
“The one who took pity on him,” replied the legal expert.
“Then go and do the same,” concluded Jesus.

Jesus used the parable of the Good Samaritan to teach that the kingdom of heaven is not something that only the Jews could achieve, but anyone who works according to God’s commands. They are all neighbors. That is the meaning that Jesus gave to his Parable. Regardless of Beliefs or Nationality.

JESUS came into the world as a man.
Really didn’t die
Everything lives in it forever
I will not fall again, he is my strength
There’s only one way and it’s him
Then i will always live
Death will never touch me again!
